  • Translation of Prof. Mike Gizzi's Netlogo Manual
  • Netlogo Homepage: http://ccl.northwestern.edu/netlogo/
  • Netlogo Educators Group:

This Yahoo group is designed to support questions pertaining to using NetLogo in the classroom. Curriculum design and implementation with NetLogo is the focus of this group.

Feel free to post a question or join the discussion.  You will need a Yahoo ID (free) to join the group.

Suggested Process:

  1. Recommended that you use FireFox 2.0.0.16 or 3.0+ as your browser and a recent version of MS Word to carry out the translation.
  2. In the table below, open the "Page Title" (Col. 1) document in the "Original English Page" URL (Col. 2) in a separate tab or window.
  3. Open the "Link to Google Translation" (Col.3) version of the page. [You may get an error message.  Just ignore it by clicking "OK"]
  4. Compare the English and Spanish versions on the two pages.   The results of the machine translation from English to Spanish will need to be corrected.
  5. Click your mouse inside of the Spanish version of the Google translated page.  In the top left of the browser, select FILE -->SAVE PAGE AS...

-Save the entire page with an appropriate file name, i.e. "Bienvendio a al NetLogo1...," etc.

  6. Open your MS Word application.  Go to FILE-->OPEN and open the file you just saved.  It will open as a HTML file with nested cells.  It will look like something like this: Gizzi_manual_translation_Bienvenido1.gif

NB: Use only alpha and numberic characters in your file name.

  1. Correct the Spanish language in the Word file.  Save your work every sentence or two.
  2. When you have completed correcting the Spanish, send the Word file to Tom Johnson at tom@jtjohnson.com  He will upload the file and post a link to the correct file in Col. #5 and enter your name and e-mail in Col. #4
  3. Your page may have links

This is an image file that will not translate automatically, so we need someone to recreate it in Spanish.  Note that as one drills down into the links for starting page with this graphic, note that individual segment illus. need to be translated and re-created.
